THE PLANT METHOD: 3 MONTH TEACHER TRAINING COURSE

Language teachers, I am happy to present The PLANT Method for teaching amazing and impactful conversation lessons in any language. Make your lessons personalised, engaging, and hugely rewarding for both you and your students.

Here is a snapshot of the online course and what you’ll learn:

Audience: Teachers of any language with at least one year of teaching experience who teach older teens and adults in small groups (this method has not been tested with larger classes of children, but you’re still welcome to learn more and try it out for yourself!)

Goals: You will learn about PLANT methodology, including the foundational skills required for both teachers and learners. We will uncover the core PLANT Method techniques of revision, assigning brilliant homework, and giving feedback (error correction and praise). We will also look at monetising your new skills and how to grow your teaching schedule (if that’s your goal!).

Duration: 90 minute webinars, from 7 to 8:30 pm

Frequency: Two webinars in a month

Price: There are two modules to choose from, depending on your personal budget. Payment in instalments may be available upon request.

  • Teachers attend (and have access to recordings of) six webinars
  • Teachers may observe me teaching online lessons up to twice a month
  • I will observe one of the teacher’s recorded lessons and provide feedback once a month
  • Price: 9000 Kc
• PLANT-LITE TRAINING
  • Teachers attend (and have access to recordings of) six webinars
  • Teachers may observe up to three of my recorded lessons
  • Price: 6000 Kc

Course Size: This course is limited to 15 participants, because we will work together in small groups of 2 or 3 throughout the course.

NOVEMBER – JANUARY TEACHER TRAINING

The pilot PLANT Method Teacher Training course will take place on Thursdays from November 2022 to January 2023. The dates of the six webinars are as follows:

• Thursday, February 2, 2023, 19:00 – 20:30

Can’t make it to every online event? No problem, we’ll be making recordings of the event to be held on our secure database for an additional three months. The webinars are highly interactive, so it’s best to attend if at all possible, but life happens!
